Living in Denial..
I remember a story that was told to me a couple of months back,
'nails in the fence'..
A boy was given a bag of nails to nail into the fence every time he felt angry.
The first day, the boy had hammered 37 nails into the fence
Over the next few weeks, he began to learn to control his anger..
as the number of nails hammered daily began to dwindle,
the lil boy discovered how much easier it was to hold his temper than drive those nails into the fence..
Once he was able to hold back his temper,
his father was proud of him and now told him that everytime he held back his temper
he should pull a nail out of the fence..
the boy did as he was told only to realize that although there were no more nails,
the holes were left to show that the fence will never be the same again..
So i guess,
when you say things in anger,
they'll leave a scar no matter how many times you apologize.
Sigh..
all these years,
the trust that was built,
perhaps..
it was just me who was living in denial..
it was pure shock,
a surprise that just blew my mind away...
my heart bleeds to know that despite you have heard some things...
A confrontation would have been ideal..
instead of letting out all those nasty things out of pure vengeance, don't you think?
haven't you heard that
when the feathers are purposely left to fly from the pillow into the sky, it can never be retrieved back?
and now,
what is there to say
but hey,
the damage is done
the game is over.
For all memories' sake,
it's been nice knowing you..
and its time to be disentangled from it altogether.

reading an email on a subject:
"Are you being a Friend with benefit"
my opinion?
well,
I had a thought...
what if i had never met you?

~same but different~
These days,
my mind is like a warzone..
been rather uninspiring..
fighting to meet deadlines,
i find myself dreaming of foreign places i wanna be at..
i crave for a 'zen-garden-atmosphere' in my mind..
since i can't travel to foreign places..
well..
to get the feel of having something foreign to the local mind,
all i could think of was food..
hahaha..
instead of craving for beaufort mee which i first tasted in Labuan (picture below)...
and later tried in KK (no picture..sorry),
this outlet is fammmoousss for its beaufort noodles..
situated somewhere along the road after the Lido supermarket, on the way to QEH..
don't think you can miss it since it's ALWAYS crowded with people..
ps: IMHO, KK's version is yummier although i prefer the type of noodles used in Labuan (shown above)..
Tsk, i feel so sorry for myself...
after living in KK for nearly a decade,
i finally got to know of something Sabah's well-famous instead of the usual Tuaran Mee..
Well, better now than never eh..
*Thank you Peter and Zack*
Anyhooosss.. back to the topic of having craves for foreign cooking..
we went for a meal with my mom's friends at Bella Italia..
Value meat at RM 11.
Pollo Milanese (spaghetti bolognaise with breaded chicken),
it came together with either soup of the day or salad with italian dressing.
cheap and nice!
then had dessert - chocolate ice cream coated with cocoa powder..
mind you, it cost more than my value meal.. RM 12
(i totally forgot to take a picture of my dessert.. so had to stopped Aunty E from eating hers before i could take a picture of it..
)
but the next day,
mom said that my godbro and his family were coming over for dinner..
home cooked food.. Yummy..
but i didn't feel like having the usual chinese or western food which mom usually prepared when they came over..
so this time,
i said.. "mommy, let;s have something we usually eat but cook it differently"
with that,
same food, different style?
so out came the recipe book and tadaa..
mom came up with a special menu for the night..
appetizer: minestrone soup and salad..
main entre: coq au vin which is a French style of braised chicken cooked with wine, mushrooms and bacon..
mashed potatoes and garlic bread
dessert: coffee jelly with fresh cream
As there were leftovers, this is what i had for my dinner the following night,
mom made somemore of her special butter creamy mashed potatoes
and mixed veg..
yummy...

~I hate arrogant, idiotic drivers~
My day didn't start too well..
Although i slept 9 hours,
it was still insufficient to replace the 'midnight oil-burning' session i had the previous night..
damn, i'm such a pig!
come to think of it, worst...
i get effin cranky when i don't get enough sleep...
gee, and i thought i was only cranky when i got hungry!
Anyway, headed to the bank in town..
Made four damn rounds in a busy busy area..
and finally, someone was gonna give me a parking space..
i signalled and waited.. patiently..
5 mins went by and the lady was stuffing her things into the car,
10 mins.. 15 mins.. finallyy....
ps: friends in KL would be insanely honking if the person made them wait a whole effin 3 minutes..
Anyway, as she got out of the parking lot,
i made my move..
only to find a damn HONDA CRV driving straight into that spot i was waiting for..
WTF right?!
that young woman, biatch... got out from the car with her friend..
both giggling away..
so i got down, seething with rage..
but managed to control myself and told them in a reluctant manner politely
"Aunty, i was waiting for that parking lot and i signaled, didn't you see it since you came from behind me?"
the parking attendant also witnessed it too as he came to my aid..
she responded: "sorry, saya bukan aunty bah.. saya cuma 26, ah moi...ko signal kah, tak nampak oh.. kasian *continue giggling with her buddy*"
WTF?!!!
couldn't she at least said she was sorry and say she was in a hurry to attend a meeting..
why for god's sake did she have to say such a thing and to add up to the fury, snicker when i'm so pissed!?!
my response: oh tak nampak kah? blinded by the fake eyelashes you got there.. kinda makes you look like a camel oh dearie! anyway ok la aunty..you're forgiven..
she snapped back: "eh sia bukan aunty bah"
to which i added as i walked away..
"oh ya kan! thanks for calling me ah moi.. cuz i'm 26 too..
tapi you... pass lah jadi aunty! 36 tahun pun boleh lah!"
with that i got back into the car and headed to Citymall for my comfort drink at Starbucks..hmph!
damn, they're effin lucky that..
i WASN'T some rich person
who wouldn't mind ramming her big FORD RANGER with steel bar into that luxurious car of theirs..
sheesh...
although i was bloody pissed bout not getting my parking space
but i was happy, satisfied cuz as i put my sunnies on and drove off,
the last look i saw on that biatch's face was this ->
while her friend looked at me in awe perhaps..cuz her expression was like this.. ->
as they watched me drive away..
Anyway.......
Francis made my day by making me an excellent beverage..
my comfort drink..
Starbuck's hazelnut latte grande with low fat milk, less foam, extra hot in a to-go cup...
after sprinkling some chocolate and cinnamon powder,
i checked my email
and how timely to receive a car joke entitled "young vs old"...
gosh! it made my day..
At least i know, i wasn't the only one who had such experience..
read on...Elsie, an elderly lady, stopped to drive into a parking space when a young man in his brand new red BMW drove around her and parked in the space that she had been waiting for. Elsie was so angered that she approached the young fellow and enquired, through gritted teeth, 'I was about to park there.'
The man looked at her with disdain and replied, 'That's what you can do when you're young and bright.'
This annoyed Elsie even more, so she got back in her car, backed it up and then she stamped on the accelerator and rammed straight into his BMW.
The young man ran back to his car and shouted in a stunned voice, 'What did you do that for?'
Elsie smiled at him and said, 'That's what you can do when you're old and rich.'
Well, IF only i was thaaat rich... i would have rammed that Honda CRV in front of the owner's eyes!
ah well..
at least i had the last say in that mini-argument..
